Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how BH Home Solution Group LLC, doing business as American Garage Door ("we", "our" or "us"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit americansgaragedoors.com, request a quote, book a service, or call or text us. Please also read our Terms & Conditions.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Quote and booking requests: your first and last name, phone number, the address of the garage door (street, city, state and ZIP code), the service you need, how soon you need it, and any notes you add.
- Calls and messages: your phone number and whatever you tell us when you call, text or message us, such as details about your door and your availability.
- Service records: the work performed, quotes, invoices and payment status.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like most websites, our servers receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the page that referred you.
- Analytics: on the live site we use Google Analytics, which uses cookies or similar technologies to tell us how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are viewed and whether a quote request or phone call was started). We do not send your name, phone number or address to Google Analytics.
- Address suggestions: when you type your address in the quote form, the characters you type are sent to Google Maps Platform to suggest matching addresses.
- Ad and campaign information: if you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, your browser keeps the ad click identifier and campaign tags (for example, which campaign or search term led you here) for up to 90 days, and they are sent with your quote request so we know which ad or page brought you to us.
How we use information
- To respond to your request, prepare a quote and schedule service.
- To dispatch a technician to your address and complete the work.
- To send service communications such as appointment confirmations, arrival notices, job status updates and invoices.
- To provide customer support and handle warranty questions.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of our website and services.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How we share information
- Technicians and contractors who perform the service receive the details they need to do the job, such as your name, phone number, address and a description of the problem.
- Service providers that operate parts of our business on our behalf — website hosting, customer-relationship and scheduling software, phone, SMS and email delivery, analytics and address lookup — receive information only as needed to provide those services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, legal process or a government request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our team or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Advertising and conversion measurement
We may advertise with Google Ads. Google's advertising tag and cookies help us measure whether an ad led to a quote request or a phone call, so we can tell which ads work.
- Enhanced conversions: when you submit a quote request, your phone number, name and address may be shared with Google in hashed form (converted into a one-way code before it leaves your browser). Google uses it only to match the request to an ad interaction and report results to us. We do not do this if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
- Call tracking: when you call us from an ad, or from our website after clicking an ad, the call may be routed through a Google forwarding number. Google then receives call details such as your area code, the time and the length of the call. Calls may be recorded for quality and training; if a call is recorded, you will hear a notice first.
- Interest-based ads: if we use remarketing, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show our ads on sites across the internet based on your past visits to this website. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's My Ad Center or opt out of many vendors at networkadvertising.org.
Your privacy choices
Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising and of sharing your information for advertising: we turn off advertising cookies and personalization, and we do not send enhanced-conversion data for your requests. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To stop Google Analytics from using your visits, you can install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without analytics or advertising cookies.
Opt-out requests: to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information or of targeted advertising, call (888) 794-6420 or use our contact page. We do not sell your personal information.
Calls and text messages
When you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your request or service. Messages may be sent using automated systems; message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. If you opt out, we may still contact you by phone or email when needed to deliver the service you requested or to comply with law.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. To make a request, call (888) 794-6420 or use our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Other websites
Our site may link to or load tools from third parties (for example, maps or social media). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
